Dr Eva Zarkadoula is Senior R&D Staff in the Center for Nanophase Materials Science at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. She first joined ORNL in 2014 as a Postdoctoral Associate, after pursuing her PhD in physics at the Queen Mary University of London, UK. Eva holds a bachelor’s degree in physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece.
Her research interests include the materials' behavior in extreme conditions, the interactions of radiation with matter, material modification and functionalization, and the behavior of disordered systems.
Eva is the Vice Chair of the Chemistry and Physics of Materials Committee of The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS), advisor for the TMS Journal JOM and a member of the Early Career Editorial Board of the Nuclear Materials and Energy journal.
